Growing up in Liberia of mixed Liberian-Lebanese parentage during the devastating civil war, I learned at a young age to be both motivated and adaptable. As I grew older, I developed the kind of passion and confidence that has driven me to strive to improve myself and my community.
I started my career at the age of 15 with a theology course in evangelical children's ministry while learning the art of modeling. Though these pursuits may seem contradictory to some, these passions-- fashion and charity, art and social justice, have defined my life and career.
A naturally-acquired sense of adventure, combined with an intense curiosity about the diversity of different races and cultures translated into a great love for travel and new challenges. After five years in London, I moved to New York, where I focused on my modeling and VJing career while studying Feature Writing at NYU. VJing for MTV BASE: AFRICA gave me the opportunity to go back to Africa and helped me reevaluate my life.
Being back home brought me back to my core passion: charitable work with children. I saw that children were the forgotten ones in Africa and knew that I had to find a way to provide shelter, education, healthcare, nutrition and a sense of belonging and love in their lives. I started Haven Missions and in so doing have found my true calling. Please join me.
